Perhaps it is because of the Romans, who captured the Eifel centuries ago and left their mark with their impressive structures. It may also be the immense forest areas that connect the locals with nature from an early age and this connection manifests itself in work with wood.

The upshot is that this is an excellent place to build with wood. The art of carpentry has enjoyed a solid base in the municipality of Salmtal for 65 years.

OUR STORY

It all began in 1955 with founding father Nikolaus Meeth, a joiner in Salmtal. He was a pretty good one too, a perfectionist in crafting windows and doors.

Word quickly spread of his high quality products and attention to detail. Soon Meeth was faced with a problem: he found it virtually impossible to cope with demand. He needed to act. In the 1970s, the joinery became the window and door manufacturer UNILUX.

Since then, not only has the location grown significantly. The product range has also been extended. Everything has become more modern, more professional. Even so, Nikolaus Meeth would have soon found his bearings as the standard of carpentry that he had always maintained is still met today. Each piece continues to be unique.
